Very Stylish

Over the past few months we've received a couple of packages in the mail for Dorian. Our awesome family and friends sent her some really cute outfits! Aunt Renee sent her a green dress that says "lovin life on it" and she rocks it out at least once a week. Aunt Autumn sent Dorian a really cute two piece green pock-a-dot bathing suit that she strutted her stuff in at the pool last week. Aunt Debbie sent Dorian a really cute bathing suit (she will get to where next year) and some awesome sun glasses!!! Aunt Summer got Dorian a really cute summer dress that she got her 8 month pictures taken in while we were in DuBois last! And Grandma Kipp sent a few adorable outfits that she is showing off in the pictures I've posted!!!

Thank you to all of our friends and Family who have a GREAT sense of taste and pass it on to their lovable Dorian!! We Love you and Appreciate all of your gifts!! XOXOXOXO

Sharing Mommy's Toys!

My roommate in college my Junior year was Erin Wolfe. She and I LOVED the Disney princesses. She had a love for Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and I loved Ariel (The Little Mermaid). Every holiday her mother would send her a care package and in her care packages she never failed to include me! She would send me little mermaid stickers and posters and pens/pencils!!! Well for Christmas Erin's mother send us a HUGE package and in it was a bath time Ariel for me!!! I was super excited and posted the doll (in its box) on my shelf.

This doll, among other stuffed animals and dolls, made every move I've ever made. They made it back for my senior year of college, to my first apartment, and all three places I've lived in here in New Mexico.

Well somehow this Ariel got stuck in the back of Dorian's closest here in our new house. This weekend we completely re-did the entire upstairs. We painted all of the walls, cleaned, and re-decorated. While cleaning her closet I found the bath-time doll Erin's mom gave me...and honestly made me laugh that I still had it!!! So Niles made me get it out of the box and give it to Dorian!! ha ha ha

Now I'm a good person to share with, so I have no problems letting Dorian play with my toys ha ha ha KIDDING!!! I gave it to her! Mommy is to old to be playing/having toys like that!!! But she had a blast playing with it in the tub!! It is a pretty cool doll...but never to young to start loving the Little Mermaid!!! ha ha ha

Obsess Much?!

Dorian has a love I've never seen before for her Daddy. She is obsessed with him! She could sit for hours and watch him work in the yard, or follow him around in circles till kingdom comes. She is crazy for her daddy. And when daddy is not here all we do is repeat the word "daddy" all day long. When daddy walks out of the door to go to work, to the garage, or off to softball....we cry. It isn't like any normal cry either...it is a tantrum like you've never seen!!!!! Daddy can't even pee these days with out Dorian sitting at the door waiting for him to come out of the bathroom or pounding on the door the ENTIRE time until he is finished. She is crazy!!! ha ha ha But it is cute at the same time. I've never seen someones eyes light up the way hers do when she sees Niles come through the door at 4:30 every day! She is definitely daddy's little girl!! And I say...Mommy who?!?!? ha ha ha I'm only needed when she is hurt, sick, or tired! And for right now I am totally okay with that! Soon enough I will have another baby that will need 24/7 attention!! The Break is kind of nice for right now! :)

Weekend at the Pool

This weekend we spent at the pool! Dorian had a blast! Saturday she rocked her Little Mermaid swim suit, and Sunday she got to wear her new swim suit that Aunt Autumn bought for her along with her new sunglasses Aunt Debbie bought for her!!! She was the best dressed baby at the pool!!!

Daddy actually came with us this weekend and swam with Dorian in the little AND big pool. I think we are making progress with him!! He won't admit it, but the pool isn't really as bad as he may want to believe! ha ha ha

Anyways, we had a great weekend together splashing around and doing yard work!!! Niles finally figured out what was wrong with our lawn mower and now the hay field that was our backyard is gone and looks great!!! It is kind of silly that we have to own a lawn mower for the one week out of a year your grass needs to be cut due to one month it rains here! ha ha ha But we have one and it is fixed and our yard looks amazing! Go Daddy!

Learning New Things

Learning new things seems to come very quickly to Dorian. One day Niles and I were sitting talking and seconds later Dorian was upstairs faster than we knew what was going on! I sent her to her new day care and within two days she has learned patty cake very well! And daddy has taught her to make new sounds with her mouth within seconds. It is really amazing how quickly babies pick up new things and hold on to them and perfect what they have been given.

Needless to say we now have to put the baby gate up at all times because she is ready to climb the stairs at any given moment. She also wakes up clapping her hands, eats clapping her hands, and walks clapping her hands. Dorian has also developed the habit of walking up to anything and anyone, putting her mouth on it/you, and blowing hard to make noise! She is a crazy crazy little girl but we are super proud of how smart she is!!

Here are a few clips of her developments. The first one she is climbing the stairs to go get a bath before bed, the second one is patty cake, and the third one is the sounds daddy taught her! I think it is funny, but if you do not want to see a preggo ladies belly....don't watch! ha ha ha (for-warning)

Our First Fourth of July

Last year I was pregnant with Dorian and Niles and I had our first fourth together. This year we had our first fourth as a Family (with Addy on the way!). We went to the mall in Las Cruces and Dorian ate her first happy meal at McDonald's!!! She ate at least half of it, we were super impressed! I got an awesome beach bag in hopes we move to a beach somewhere (aka Delaware). Niles got some new shirts for a really good deal, and he got me the new DMB CD!!!
Dorian is officially a true American girl after yesterday! She had her first hot dog with corn on the cob (cut up of course), and her first cup cake! She rocked yesterday!
We didn't know if we should put her to bed and let the fireworks wake her up or let her stay up to watch them?!?! So after a poll we let he stay up and watch the fireworks...she honestly loved them! Didn't take her eyes off of the sparkles and didn't cry because of the noise!!! She cried because she was exhausted, but that's another story! ha ha ha The fireworks are set off about a 1/2 of a mile away from our house, so our neighborhood was the place to be!! Everyone was setting off fireworks in the streets and had music going...it really was kinda cool!!!

Guess what?!?!?! We can climb EVERY THING now!!! We can climb the stairs in a matter of seconds (she is darn quick!), and the fireplace, and onto her table!!! Keeps mommy and daddy on their toes!

I really wanted cupcakes, so we bought festive ones and decided to let Dorian have one. She has never had cake or icing before so we didn't know what to expect! I think I captured her first moment well ha ha ha Here is the play by play action footage! ha ha

Waiting for the fire works!! :O)

This is us waiting out back for the fire works to start!!! And this is what we do EVERY TIME we are outside!!!! ha ha ha
