Twins for a Day

Snow in New Mexico

It was dark when I woke up today at 6am soooo I grabbed the kids clothes that I normally do. It is always cold here in the morning and by noon it is around 80 degrees and coats are no longer needed. So that is what I was thinking when dressing the kiddos this morning. Short sleeves, with coats and around noon they take off their coats and everything is fabulous. NOT SO MUCH today!!!! Once it got light out and I could see what the world looked like...this is what I saw...SNOW!!! The mountains were covered with snow this morning and it was 41 degrees out!!! And it is now around 2pm and STILL 41 degrees out!!! So needless to say I had to re-dress my kiddos in warmer clothing...but SNOW?!?!?! We live in New Mexico...it doesn't snow here ha ha ha

What a Nut!!!

This is the funniest thing I've ever seen!!! We went to a winery/pistachio farm when Niles' family was here this past weekend. AND this is the landmark of the winery ha ha ha WHAT A NUT!!! This is the largest pistachio nut I've ever seen!!! So I had to take a picture and it is even funnier with Niles and Dorian standing in front of it! ha ha ha ha For this and many other reasons...we need to get out of New Mexico!!! HA

Sled Ridding in the Desert?

When I think of sled ridding I think of 6 feet of snow, bundling up, and freezing cold weather. Soooo when I moved to New Mexico and people were going sled ridding in the middle of the summer in 120 degree weather, I thought it was a little weird. As you all know I am moving back to PA next week and we thought that after two years of living here we never experienced New Mexican "sled ridding". And what better time to try it then when Grandma Kipp and Aunt Linda were here. Soooo off we went.

Dorian's first time sled ridding is in short sleeves, Capri pants, and on white sand! She didn't like it much but had fun playing with the sled and sand separately ha ha ha We were so happy to show Grandma Kipp her favorite place in New Mexico, White Sands National Park one last time! So much fun!!! This is our official last time to be on the desert for a LONG time! :)
