Formal Night/Bahamas

After Mexico we had a full day at sea. This was our second formal night on the ship. We all dressed in our best and a really great night. Summer did my hair because the water in Mexico made it all funky! ha ha We all had our pictures taken, ate lobster and king crab for dinner, and cocktails after to start off the night! We saw a hipnotist and a couple comedians this night that were really great shows!

The last day on the ship we docked at the island of Princess Cays in the Bahamas. This island is owned by Princess Cruise's. Here was a full day on the beach. They had every water sport you could think of to rent equipment and try it out, or you could just sit on the beach all day and collect the sun (what we opted to do). A cookout was prepared for us and it was a big ole' party all day!

When we got back to the ship it was time to pack it all up. When we woke up the next day we left almost immediatley to head back to PA!

This was the greatest thing I've had the chance to do in my life. I had so much fun with the Nulf family and am so thankful for the invitation to be with them on this special occasion. It was a once in a life time opportunity and I had a ball the entire time. It was sad to be away from my husband and children but I knew they were in great hands thanks to my Mom and brother Brian. Thank you both for taking amazing care of my two little girls!!!!!

Cozumel, Mexico

Our third day in a row on islands brought us to Cozumel, an island off of Mexico. Summer, Nick, and I booked an excursion to spend the day at Playa Mia Beach Resort. We docked early in the morning and did our "tourist" shopping as quickly as possible. We then had to find our own transportation to the resort. Finding a cab was easier than we had thought and made it there safe and sound!

It was only 9am when we arrived at the resort, and well we were the only ones there. But as we paid for, we started with a drink from the open bar (that was included all day). At the resort we were able to paddle boat, kayak, jump on the ocean trampoline, and climb the rock in the ocean. We did them all!!! I had never paddle boated in my life and I have never jumped on a trampoline in the ocean either...so it was a lot of fun!!!

On our way back to the boat we did some more shopping, talked some sellers down from their rediculous prices, took some more fun pictures with their props and continued the party on the ship.

We played trivia all night in one of the lounges on the ship and then ate a late dinner at the 24 hour buffet! We took a little prize for ourselves and called it a night!

Roatan Honduras

I LOVED LOVED LOVED Honduras!!! I didn't want to leave at the end of the day!!! Our weather here wasn't great, it rained off and on all day and there was a huge storm that night...but honestly that didn't stop us from having fun! We shopped at some really cool stores and walked the beaches, played on their toys, took rediculous pictures, and had some drinks! LOVED it here! It was tropical and secluded and everything you want in an island vacation! We all bought some really cool things to bring home and share and got some rediculous deals! We were sad to leave but excited to see what Mexico would bring us in the morning!

Grand Cayman Islands

I wasn't a huge fan of this island....it was really built up with a lot of shopping centers and malls...and not as "tropical" as I had expected! But don't get me wrong, Summer and I had a blast either way! We did the typical tourist shopping and went to Margarittaville. There was a slide in the bar and of course by the end of the day We were going down it with no problems!!! But after our fun on the island we headed back early and layed by the pool until dinner!!! It was a great day!!!

Beginning of My Cruise

We flew to Ft. Lauderdale on Feb. 11th. One of the biggest snow storms of the year hit the day before we left. Getting to Florida was not the easiest thing I've done so far this year. All flights were cancelled except ours, so I must say how lucky we were. But the Nulf clan and I flew all day and waited long hours in airports to our hotel were we waited another two days to board our ship.

We Boarded the Crown Princess on Feb. 13th and began our departure!!!

Dorian Video

Rollin and Feet

Last week Addy rolled over for the very first time and in over a week she is a pro from the belly to her back!!! AND over the past week our feet have become our biggest obsession!!! She can't help her self!!! It is an automatic reaction to grab her feet and she LOVES it!!! Which makes me think that in a few more weeks she will be rolling both way and fully mobile!!! YAY!!! I can't wait to have to mobile children!!! whoooo hooo!

GO ADDY!

My New Hair Color...NOT Black Anymore!

Dorian on a Time-Out

Sisterly Love

In the last couple of weeks Dorian has become VERY lovey towards her sister! She actually will try to play with her and her favorite game is "tea party". Dorian LOVES to pour tea and share with her sister and myself. So whether Addy wants tea or not she gets it in large quantities, EVERY day! ha ha ha

But seriously really cute to watch her play with her sister!

Dorian is really stepping up to be the big sister I'd hope she would become! Very loving towards Addy, and also very cautious! We've even made it to actually kiss her sister with her lips instead of just a head nudge! ha ha ha It IS getting better and even though jealously over powers Dorian sometimes...He want to be nice and loving towards her comes through more these days than ever before!

Our Road Trip to See Friends

I haven't seen most of my friends for a little over two years. I left for New Mexico and immediately became pregnant for the past two years. So when we did come home to PA it was for a short time and we packed in as much family time as possible. Making it very hard to spend quality time with our wonderful friends.

The girls and I set out for a road trip a couple weeks ago and were on a mission to see all of our friends we so much missed!

We stopped to see Lacey in Harrisburg and she got to hold her first fresh baby!! YAY!!!

We ate lunch with Brandi and her lil' man Dylan. Dylan is such a cutie and he had so much fun playing with Dorian all afternoon! It was so great to see you two!!!

We then drove to West Chester to see Debbie and her family! They were such a huge help and loved seeing the girls! I don't know who was more tired, Dorian or her family! ha ah ha We played hard! And had a wonderful time.

It was so sad to leave everyone but we ventured back to DuBois safe and sound. We can't wait to see everyone again and hope it is sooner than later!!!

We love you all! Thank you for having us! :)

The 49th Fighter Wing: We are So Proud!

I know most of the men in Niles' shop. These men work for the 49th Fighter Wing at Holloman Air Force Base. Over the last two years I've got to know them personally and they have become part of our family. They helped us when we needed things for our babies. They've attended all birthday parties for myself and my children. They've been there through the good and the bad. Helping us move not only once, but twice and did not complain at all! Saying this, I know how great these people truly are. We've shared holidays and dinners, cookouts, and cocktails after a hard day. Many football games were watched in my living room with these men! They are truly loved.

This article was posted last week in the local news paper in Alamogordo New Mexico. Reading this I became filled with emotion. An overwhelming sense of pride came over me because I know these men and to see how they are doing everything they possibly can in a great time of need is empowering.

To all of the men in the "shop"; we are so proud of you!!! You guys are amazing and are doing a fantastic job! Be safe on your trip and make us proud!

I am so proud that my husband works for the 49th Fighter Wing and so proud to say I know these men that are going to make a difference in Haiti.

Holloman Helping In Haiti

LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- When thinking about the influx of supplies going to Haiti, you probably think of medical supplies, supplies for shelter or food, but don't forget about one of the most critical supplies of all, water. After a devastating earthquake rocked the country of Haiti, hundreds of thousands are dead, hundreds of thousands are injured and over 1 million are estimated to now be homeless. While it's not easy to survive without food, it's much harder to survive without water, clean water. And that's where the 49th fighter wing of Holloman Air Force base comes in, as they will soon be deploying from Alamogordo to Haiti taking assets with them from tents to generators to supply a camp of over 1,200 people. Once in Haiti, they will also be taking machines used to purify water.

“One unit alone can produce up to 30,000 gallons a day, which can be used to distribute to the Haitians in need as well as support U.S. forces,” said Lt. Col. Mark Shoviak.

With four units expected to make the trip, Holloman airmen will be able to produce a minimum of 120,000 gallons of clean water each day.

“It's a privilege to get a mission like this and go out and help the poor and make them live,” said Sgt. Emmanuel Lopez.

Even though the group from Holloman is aiding to those of another country, it's truly a humanitarian effort and easy for them to understand how bad the situation is.

“I told my airmen on the first day, day one when that earthquake happened, it's as if it happened in the town of Alamogordo and everybody was dead,” said Shoviak.

“A lot of things run through my mind,” said Lopez. “Being mentally ready is one.”

SOOOO COLD!!!!

Yes, PA is cold. I was fully aware of this fact when I chose to move back home. But knowing something and experiencing it are two TOTALLY different factors! Because I was NOT ready for this weather!!! ha ha ha

It is FLIPPIN' COLD!!!!

I don't think I remember it being this cold growing up...maybe it was, maybe it has been that long since I've experienced it, or maybe I was acclimatized by the New Mexico winters? Who knows...but it is cold! ha ha ha

The girls wear multiple layers on a daily basis and even more than that when going outside! ha ha ha But they look darn cute with all their layers on! :)
