PJ Weekend!

Here you go Niles! More pictures and more video's! We had a PJ weekend! Dorian just got new pj's that are disney princesses! (she honestly had nothing to wear because she grew to fast and to much on me! we had no choice but to get new pj's!) They didn't have any sleepers so we were forced to buy 12 month real pj's! Kinda a little to big, but aweful darn cute on her! My pj's of course consist of Niles' oversized sweat shirts and pants! lol But oh well, you asked, and I delivered! Enjoy!

Love New Toys!

Thank you Uncle Bud and Aunt Krystle! Love Love Love the new toy! Hours of fun!! It talks back to her and sings, and she never loses interest! You both are awesome! Love and Miss you all!

Helping Mommy!

D has been helping me, and by helping me I mean the total opposite, with laundry the past few nights! I do the labor, washing and drying, and she helps me fold the laundry! Let me tell you she loves herself a big pile of clothes to crawl through and throw around! I fold something, she picks it up and unfolds it! A 15 minute job just turned into hours of fun to be had! ha ha ha But hey at least laundry is getting done, right?!?!? (see I can do laundry Niles!)

Randomness

Here are some recent pictures...the first one is of Dorian in her 12 month sleeper that I kid you not had to squeeze onto her...she is bustin out it is so tight on her...HA HA HA

So there is no real reason for this post other than I charged up my camera, since it died on me last week and I shot a couple new pictures and videos of D. I'm not sure if the video will work, i've had a lot of trouble trying to upload them....so yay for me if they do! Enjoy!

What We Do for FUN!

This is what we do every day....we chase around the cat. I was sitting here e-mailing Krystle back and I looked down to find Dorian chasing the cat around the room. Mister would get comfortable and then there went D scooting across the floor only to grab his fur and hit him on the head! Mister gets up and goes to a different spot, and then Dorian (with huge amounts of motivation to get him) gets up and crawls to where ever mister is! It is really funny! And when this gets old the cat and dorian antagonize the dog in the window! They sit and try to get Griswald all hyper! Yes, we do this everyday, it never gets old! I don't know what Mister would do without Dorian! ha ha ha

I Can See!

So When Niles and I were driving home from PA at about 1 am in the morning I decided to take over and give him some rest. Dorian was sleeping and we planned to drive the whole night. I got behind the wheel, got onto the interstate, and QUICKLY realized that I couldn't see more than a couple feet infront of me! HA HA HA I couldn't read any of the signs on the road and everything was really fuzzy! So needless to say I didn't do any more driving on the trip!

But we got home and I then realized I couldn't read anything on our TV, or even to drive down town at night to the go to the store! I made an eye appointment and the Doctor said I would need glasses from here on out! Apparently when I was pregnant with Dorian I gained to much water that caused to much pressure on my eyes. This fluid build up shifted my eyes to make me not see so well. Problem solved, and my glasses came in yesterday!!!

Learning New Things!

These are crappo pictures, but I didn't have the camera with me when it happened! So I used my cell phone! Dorian can sit up on her own now! Yes my friends you are witnessing the first pictures of D moving her body on her own to sit up and stay up! Also a first, as of last night we broke her second tooth out! She has her two bottom teeth poking through now! It now hurts when she bites down on my fingers! ha ha ha She is just getting so big!!! after the bath she went down stairs and laid down and picked herself up to sit again...this is the real deal! That is a great b-day present for me! I loved it!

A surprisingly GREAT day!

So you know how you wake up and you just have it in your mind that the day is going to be crappy? And you are so set that nothing can make it better?...Okay, well that was me today! Today was my birthday, and I turned 25! Yay, half way to over the hill! But insurance goes down, FINALLY! I thought that nothing could make this day the way that I wanted it...I was very wrong!

I was so upset that two years in a row the military made Niles miss my birthday, that I am away from my family, and that everyone wouldn't even know that today was anything special to me! Wrong, wrong, wrong!

Okay so just to start off I woke up to three really really funny and nice text messages from all three of my brothers! Yes, it was amazing...all three of them remembered and actually through out the whole day each of the three called me! AMAZING!

Liz and Chris took me out to lunch with Dorian. They made sure I was able to eat a good meal! Liz took D for the entire lunch until I had eaten my lunch! I cant remember the time (since she has been born) that I've sat down and enjoyed an entire meal without shoving it down my throat cuz I have a crank-monster! ha ha ha Thank you both!

And the day actually got better! Dorian miraculously took a two and half hour nap...and so did mommy with her! I'm talking that hasn't happened since day one with her! ha ha ha We woke up to grandma calling and wishing me a happy birthday also!

Earlier in the day I completely forgot to get the mail, Niles usually grabs it on his way home from work up the driveway! Come to my surprise I actually got mail, that wasn't a bill! ha ha ha Each person in Niles' family sent me a b-day card! Autumn, Madison, Russ, and Mom...Thank you! That means more to me than you even know! His family also called to send me b-day wishes! Sorry I missed your phone call, I was taking a wonderful nap with Dorian! ha ha ha I will call you back later on this week!

So yes, my crappy day that I had set in my head was ruined by my wonderful friends and family making it a really great day! Thank you all so much! I love you!

This is D at the restaurant Liz and Chris took me to in Alamogordo! She was throwing her toys all over the place...it was really funny!

Okay so D grabbed a lemon and put it in her mouth! The next two pictures are of this interesting experience! She actually really really liked it and tore that lemon up! She went through two or three of them while we were there!

Okay, most of you have never seen this side of D. I have just recently found out that this is what happens when I am no longer in sight! I seriously walked around the corner to put something away and within seconds this happened! We had real tears, couldn't catch our breathe...amazing that I could be that important to always having to be around! ha ha ha

And within seconds of me being in the room, or at least in sight, she was back to playing again with her measuring cups! lol

She wore herself out with all of the b-day fun! ha ha ha This was the start of my amazing nap today!

Best Friends

Now that Dorian can crawl around on the floor Mister (the cat) has taken a new found interest in her! He follows her around all day, it is actually really humerous! He actually lets D pull on his fur and ears and eyes! (now that we have a dog mister has calmed down a lot!) But Mister loves him some attention from Dorian!

We Miss You Daddy!

Dorian and I are chillin out for the next couple of months together missing our daddy! Niles left last week and it is soo not the same around here. This is the first of many deployments, this I know, but I think the first one is the hardest!

Niles has e-mailed me a couple of times since he left, and from what I know he made it to Germany with no problems and had made it to Turkey. He says that is absolutly gorgeous over there and can't wait to go back on a vacation! ha ha ha But from Turkey he still had two more planes to get on till he arrived in Afgan! I will keep you all posted if I hear anything more from him!

But we miss you Daddy and can't wait for you to come home...here are kisses from me and D!

Introducing...Griswald!

While I was in Florida with my sisters kids Niles called me and asked if I still wanted a Shitzu. I was ecstatic and said yes! He found one for sale at a reasonable price and bought in that second! His name is Griswald, and he is about 11 months old! He is a full bred shitzu! When we first got him his hair was super long and he looked really fat! We came to find out that his long hair hadn't been brushed so it was matted to his skin! I know you are not supposed to shave dogs like this down to their skin...but really I had no choice! Niles went out to get a dog grooming kid, and we went to town!

Griswald LOVES the stupid cat and is really really good with Dorian! I mean I'd bite someone back if they pulled my hair and eyes! But Griswald just licks her ha ha ha I am really going to try to keep this dog, and I know my reputation proceeds me, but honestly I'm going to try! We love him, a little annoying at times (like right now he has seriously been barking for the past 20 minutes) but we want to keep him!

The only problem with our lil' boy is that he isn't completely potty trained and doesn't listen to well! I have gone to the extreme of signing us up for a doggy obedience class! HA HA HA I have to attend with him for six weeks, we are given homework and what not...kind of crazy, but I'm going to give it my all to keep him!

Splish Splash!!!!

We love love love bath time in the Putnam house! And ever since we attempted to roll over in the tub onto our belly it has become way more fun!

She was thinking about the roll over to her stomach for a couple of weeks, and then finally just went for it! Cried for a few seconds and then realized, HEY this is really cool! So from then on out, it was nothing but splashing and chasing toys around in the tub! I'm talking she could be there for hours (as long as the water is warm) and not even care! Crazy little girl she is!

She can't control her sneezes yet! When she is in the tub and sneezes her head goes all of the way under the water ha ha ha...and honestly she still doesn't care, just continues on as she was playing in the water!

And might I add, this was never this way! We had to put up with crying for hours for the first 3 months of her life every time she was put into any kind of water! So I'm not sure when she came to like baths....but don't really care! Because life is good now!

Dorian's Baptism

Dorian was baptized on December 28th in DuBois PA at St. Catherine's Parish. It was such a great day, we missed you Mongold family, I so wish you all could have been there!

Nana, Poppop, Grandma, Uncle Brian, Uncle Mark, Uncle Patrick, Uncle Derek, Aunt Debbie, and Aunt Summer were all there to be apart of Dorian's special day! It was quite the even I must say ha ha ha. To start off the morning, I woke up with the worst stomache virus God could have possibley given me! (it is funny to me now! ha ha ha) So all morning I was laying around soo sick! Everyone got ready and we ALL (including all three of my brothers, not that I would have doubted Brian...But Mark and Patrick all attended) got ready and went to mass at 11am! Following mass at 12:30 Msg. Sieffer Baptized D!

Dorian was so interested the entire time...looking everywhere and giggling/pulling my hair and eyes! It was hillarious...I dipped her down so they could pour the water on her head and she was looking back like "What the Hell are you doing to me strange man!" ha ha ha But all went well, and it was a great day!

People came from such long distances to be apart of our family and it truly means the world to us that they care so much! Thank you especially to Uncle Brian and Aunt Debbie for being the godparents of our baby D! It really really is awesome you both could make it for her Baptism and knowing that you two are there for us is such a heart warming feeling! Thank you!

And Grandma, thank you for having such a nice dinner for us afterwards and making this all happen. It was you that made the call to the church and arranged for the Baptism to take place! I'm so happy you are Dorians Grandma and my mother! I love you so much!

And for everyone else who was there and there in mind we love you and are so happy you are apart of our's and Dorians life! You are all the best family we could ever ask for!

After the Baptism (which was over in just enough time to get home for kick off) we went home, ate lots of really great food, and watched the steelers game! They lost but baby D had her steelers gear on and game face put on to root them to a victory!
