November Recap

I have been super busy the past few weeks that I have let my blogging slip. I have a TON of pictures that it would take me forever to post them all individually. So in my hurry to share them with you I combined them in a slid show. Here are the photos from the entire month.

Niles and I flew to PA November 2nd into Philadelphia and drove to Wyalusing to spend a week with his family. We played in the leaves, visited a winery, played cards with his siblings, and had a blast petting horses! It was a quick week and then we were off to my grandparents cabin in East Waterford PA. We stayed a quick night reminiscing with my grandparents and taking hikes through the woods till we were off to DuBois PA. Niles stayed the rest of his time in PA at my mothers house helping me get settled in, unpacking, and raking leaves. My brothers came for a weekend to help Niles and I finish the huge job and they then took him to the airport on November 15th. Niles is now in New Mexico and starts his school on Monday the first of December.

For the past week and a half, since Niles has left, I've been getting into a new routine. Helping Dorian adjust to the move and get used to what she can and can not do. Setting new rules and a a new sense of security for myself and the girls. Getting accustomed to being the one to get up with Addeline every night and still get enough sleep to keep up with Dorian all day. Trying to get both girls on the same sleeping schedule (almost accomplished this goal). Baby proofing my mothers house, and fixing the things Dorian has already broke. As well as trying to rekindle friendships that have slipped away by not being present the past two years.

So for this and much more I have not had time to blog! ha ha ha Here is the recap of pictures I promised to post three weeks ago!! ENJOY!!!

As for us here in PA, it is so nice to be around friends and family all of the time. It hasn't been easy but is getting easier as each day passes. A lot to get used to in a short period of time, and is very stressful....but wouldn't change the decision to leave New Mexico early. We will find the little things that make it better to live here, my mother and I will eventually compromise on the little things that don't seem to click between us, and time will fly! Soon enough this period of time will be over and we will be looking for another house to live in, in a new state and beginning this process all over again!

So to the stress, the fatigue, and the anxiousness of moving back to PA...I say that we are now ready to move on with our lives and make the best of the situation we are in. I always go through a period of time (about 2 weeks) when Niles leaves that I feel like I can't do things. I don't know why I do this, but I feel that Niles is the only one that can handle certain things and I feel weak without my right hand man next to me. But once that period is over I feel like I can take on the world and can do anything with out any help. Well my weak period is over and I am ready to move on and Take on the world!!! YAY!

I will keep you all posted on how we are doing with the move...and no word yet on where we are moving! As soon as I know you will all know!

Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone!!!

The Great Leave Clean up of 2009

The family banned together once again to clean up the leaves at my mothers house. Niles, myself, Mark, Patrick, my mom and my Pop pop cleaned leaves all day for five hours to get the job done. It was long but fun.

I hadn't seen my brothers in almost 7 months, so the night before we all went out and had A LOT of fun....2 in the morning fun! So waking up was rough the next morning for leaves, but made it all the more fun ha ha ha

Mark led us to victory and we got the job done! They even let me drive the tractor! YAY! In all my life I never was allowed to drive the tractor...until this day! It was so much fun!!!! Lots of great pictures came from this day!!! Nana took care of Addeline while I helped all day, my mom made us all lunch so we didn't have to stop working, and Patrick with his broken hand actually raked all day and got out of bed!!! YAY!!!

Until next year...when the job comes back to haunt us and the work resumes!

Nimble Hill Winery

Our first stop in PA was Wyalusing. Niles' Aunt and Uncle own a winery and I have always wanted to go see it first hand. I've heard so many great things about it over the past year and LOVE their wine, and finally got the chance to go for a quick visit with Niles while he was home. I thought we were only going to get to go to the actual store where the wine is sold and taste test them all....BUT his Aunt and Uncle allowed us to actually go to the vineyards and see the factory where it is all made!!!

I loved it!!! It was so fantastic to see their business and get the tour!!! Thank you Aunt Ellie, Uncle Gary, and Aunt Linda for showing me around and letting me see your little treasure!! I will be a frequent buyer of your Nimble Hill wine!

We Are in Pennsylvania

After a 15 hour long trip...we are in PA!!!! The four of us left New Mexico and flew from El Paso Texas to Philadelphia on one long plane ride and drove up to Wyalusing. It was a long day but went better than anticipated. Dorian was pretty good on the plane and tolerable in the car ride to the air port and to Wyalusing.

We are staying in Wyalusing until Monday and then heading to DuBois to get settled in at Grandma Carr's house. Dorian LOVES Grandma Kipp's yard...so much room to run around in and so many leaves to play with! We love the fall and so happy that we didn't miss it!

We will be in PA for the next couple of months. We don't know where we will be moving to and we don't know when. We may move as early as February and it could be as late as at the end of the next year. So I will keep you updated on any news we receive...but we are up in the air as far as plans go...just going with the flow at this point. :)
