Wellsboro Continued....
So from the downtown tundra we made our way to a cabin that Loretta (my mother-in-law) rented for us for the weekend. She had called me a week or two before this to see if we wanted to stay the weekend in the cabin with her. We all were able to, so to the "Adventure Cottage" we were off to!
The description on the web said that it was a cozy cottage in the middle of no where...but was equip ed with Internet, linens, three bedrooms, large bathroom, and a window wall! Sounds GREAT!!! .....There was only one flaw....The owner told, us we had to cross a stream to get up to the cottage. Any four wheel drive vehicle would make it up there he assured us!!!
So it wasn't a huge deal...but a stream was not the correct words to describe the body of water we had to cross to get up the VERY steep hill to get to the cottage. My van wouldn't make it so Loretta had a truck that took my mom and the kids up to the cottage and then a second trip to haul our things up the hill!
The cabin was great....it even had a piano that Dorian loved to play all weekend. We actually cooked all of our meals and had a great time talking and playing games all weekend. The four of us and the girls headed to the Pa Grand Canyon on Sunday and the downtown Wellsboro for a walk before heading back to Dubois on Monday.
All in all a great weekend. My mom and mom-in-law got along great...it is scary how similar the two are! ha ha ha Kids are adapting much better with the more we travel! And it definitely was an adventure of a weekend!
