Alamogordo Zoo

We figured that if we've lived in Alamogordo for almost 2 years now that we should visit the local zoo! So our first weekend back from PA we ventured down town to the Alamogordo Zoo. We didn't expect much being that it is Alamogordo. But we were pleasantly surprised!

All of the animals in the zoo are animals that were found locally. The animals all arrived injured or disabled and can no long take care of themselves in the wild. The zoo is the oldest zoo west of the Mississippi River and one of the smallest!

It is a gorgeous environment and a great display, and has a children's play park right in the zoo! And the best part is, it only costs 2.50 per person! It took about and hour and a half to walk through...but honestly a great time waister on a boring day!

So we are finally Alamogordo native's and were tourists for a day in the small New Mexico Town! ha ha

Oh I want to go to a zoo so bad!!! This kinda reminds me of the Hershey Zoo. Hmm...now I'm gonna have to plan a trip, lol. Dorian is getting SO big! I love the cute, chubby little legs. Dylan used to have multiple rolls wherever any joint was, lol. Out of nowhere Dorian will probably grow like 4 or 5 inches and you'll suddenly notice that all those cute little rolls are gone, haha. How's Mommy & the new baby doing? It looks really freakin' hot in NM!
