Turtles Hump and Flat

Once a week, maybe every other week, my mom cleans the turtle cage/bin. It is quite a process and has many steps to getting the task done. But one of the steps is letting the turtles walk around the kitchen for a couple minutes while she cleans the bin and fills it back up with clean water.

These turtles, Hump and Flat, are adventurous and have a tendency to wander far when they are given their freedom. So on this particular day my mom asked Dorian to watch the turtles so they didn't run away again.

Dorian had a field day with this task! I'm sure in her little head she thinks that grandma's house if a small zoo. With turtles, cats, a visiting dog, and deer that run wild in the back yard....ha ha ha always something to be curious about!

Anyways Dorian loves animals. She has no fear, as most of anyone would assume! She has reached to pet Grandma Kipps horses, which are the size of ten Dorian's, she has loved cats and kittens from day one. Dorian would love to sit and play with Tia all day if she would allow it. And after two days Dorian will warm up to any dog! But turtles?!?!?! She was sooooo excited to watch the turtles for Grandma.

Grandma let her touch them and she chased them around the kitchen for a long time! It was hilarious to watch!!! But such a huge help!!! And only once did she try to step on one of them ha ha ha ha

Her little mind is so curious all of the time, and nothing is ever boring to her or gets old. She loves to experience new things and so eager to learn everything and anything you throw her way. If she can not do a task, she will honestly sit down and master it even if it takes hours or days. God bless her, she would play with the turtles and cat all day if Grandma would allow her and it wouldn't hurt/kill any of them! ha ha ha ha
